I was Rosie's next door neighbour growing up, she started taking piano lessons at age 3 and around age 8 started violin. In the summer with windows open all I could hear was 'SCREECH SCREECH" You've come a long way Sweetie. I am soooo proud of you and keep up the great work.
Luv Cheryl

We were at Irish House on Sunday, and had a great time! Your music is incredible, we couldn't get our youngest to leave the dance floor while you were playing (the little girl in the red sweater). Also, thanks for the CD! Hope to see you again at Irish House, or a future gig, well done!

Just want to say how proud I am of my daughter, Rosalie who plays the fiddle/violin in Blackthorn Band. Of course, also proud of Blackthorn. I thoroughly enjoy their playing. Every single person in the band is excellent in their skills. I could listen to them forever. Keep up your great playing!
Love, "Mom"

Hello Blackthorn,
'Singing the Travels' is marvellous, really great. 'Joy of My Heart' sung by the awesome Michelle Carlisle is fabulous, haunting and lovely. After listening to many Irish groups while touring Ireland, Michelle sings more spirit and passion into a song than most Irish groups born of Ireland.
I don't know many people who are aware of your lovely group, except for in the Vancouver area. Hopefully Blackthorn will receive much deserved and required attention internationally when playing the Irish House.
Slán agus beannacht leat.

Still one of the very best Celtic bands in the country. Looking forward to catching up with you at The Irish House later this month
